The Cheeseburger Dumpling Smash Board

America's favorite comfort food is already inside the dumpling. This board is just the excuse to pile stuff around it. No grill, no bun, no apologies — 15 minutes and you've got a spread.

Serves 4–6 · Ready in 15 min

You'll need

  • 1 bag Dump'd Cheeseburger Dumplings (50 ct)
  • Special sauce: ¼ cup mayo, 2 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp yellow mustard, 1 tbsp relish, ¼ tsp garlic powder, whisked together
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Diced tomato, diced red onion, sliced pickles
  • Shredded cheddar
  • Toasted slider buns or potato roll bites (optional, for scooping)

How to cook them

Steaming (recommended): Fill a pan with 2–3 inches of water and bring to a boil. Line your steamer basket, add the dumplings without overcrowding, and steam for 11 minutes. Rest 2 minutes before serving.

Pan-frying: Heat oil over medium. Place the dumplings flat-side down and cook 3–4 minutes until golden. Add ¼ cup water, cover, and steam about 3 minutes, keeping the pan moving. Uncover and keep swirling — a splash more oil if it looks dry — until the flat side is browned.

Steps

  1. Cook the dumplings using either method above.
  2. While they cook, whisk the special sauce and prep the toppings.
  3. Arrange the cooked dumplings on a board. Drizzle with special sauce, then scatter lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and cheddar over the top.
  4. Serve with extra sauce on the side and the toasted buns for anyone who wants to build a bite.
